David Catalan is a Spanish fashion brand founded in 2013, based in Oporto, Portugal and Madrid, Spain. David Catalan's work is a fusion between the design, innovative production techniques and a youthful culture, where the young fashion designer finds his inspiration. The designs stand out due to the simplicity of the shapes, the attention to the detail, the perfect finishing of the pieces and the treatment of the textiles.

For SS17 David Catalán presented his reinterpretation of London’s finest, Sketch Bar- the Gallery, through a collection which shares some similarities with the acclaimed bar, being both playful, colourful and witty.

For this collection I worked as an intern in design assisting in sourcing, pattern-making, fittings, time management and assistant for shootings and the fashion Show in Porto Fashion Week. Working hand to hand with the head designer made my strong in designer core skills such as pattern-making.
